£30
Interval with a glass of prosecco/juice
Kenneth Alan Taylor has spent a lifetime in theatre, as a manager, writer, director and performer. He was awarded a BEM in the Queen’s Birthday honours list 2021 for his exceptional services to theatre, including 30 years as pantomime Dame in his own productions at Nottingham Playhouse.
This promises to be a hugely entertaining evening liberally laced with great anecdotes from Kenneth, delivered in conversation with broadcasting legend and former controller for BBC Radio 1, and alumnus of the University, Matthew Bannister. Following the interval there will be an opportunity for some questions from the audience. Audience members will be invited to submit these in advance.
What will happen to the funds raised?
All proceeds will provide free tickets to families who may not otherwise be able to enjoy the magic of live theatre. Help us raise £6,000 and if successful, this will be matched by an anonymous donor, providing more than 1000 tickets over the next year. In addition to the money raised through ticketing, there will be a raffle on the evening and the opportunity to make a further donation.
Can't make it in person?
Although we would love to see you, don't worry if you cannot attend the event, you can still support this fantastic cause. You can donate directly to this fund by simply calling our Box Office on 0115 846 7777 or clicking the button below – whatever amount you can spare to help families experience theatre, it will make a difference!
