Clara Schumann Three Romances, Op.11
Robert Schumann Faschingsschwank Aus Wien (Carnival Scenes from Vienna), Op.26
Brahms Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel, Op.24

An imaginative and electrifying performer, Chinese pianist Zee Zee (Zhang Zuo) is in demand as a concerto and recital soloist worldwide. She was a BBC New Generation Artist 2013-15, making her BBC Proms debut in 2014.

Clara Schumann composed the Trois Romances for solo piano while on a recital tour of Europe 1838-39. Robert Schumann’s colourful impressions of Carnival in Venice also date from 1839. Brahms’ virtuosic and monumental Handel Variations gifted to Clara Schumann on her birthday in 1861, completes the programme.
