In collaboration with Nonsuch, we are very excited to be delivering the Theatre Category of the Nottingham Young Creative Awards. Previously called Toolbox, the Theatre Category is a creative challenge for the young theatre makers of Nottingham to showcase their talents, and for the industry to see the wide variety of theatre being devised in our city!
The challenge is simple: schools, youth theatres, colleges and young companies are invited to devise their own original 15-minute theatre performance for selection by the panel. There are three entry categories aligned to the Nottingham Young Creative Awards: 11-15 years; 16–18 years; 19-24 years.
All theatre is welcome – scripted or devised – and the work can be performed in a style of your choosing. Most importantly, it must be new piece of work, it must challenge you and it must engage your audiences.
If you are interested and would just like to know more about the Nottingham Young Creative Awards’ Theatre Category, please get in touch with louise.kay@nottingham.ac.uk.
The deadline for registering your group’s interest in taking part is at 12noon on Monday 16 December. You can register here by filling in the short form.
