Access
Terceradix is fully wheelchair accessible, with free carer tickets. Carers of visitors with additional Access needs, particularly those who may experience difficulty queuing, are encouraged to speak to Terceradix staff on the day.
Mobility scooters are not allowed but can be parked outside.
Accessible Facilities
All of our buildings and the majority of our spaces can be accessed without the need for lifts or ramps. There are level access toilets inside all of our buildings and an accessible toilet outside the building which requires a radar key.
A fully equipped Changing Places room is available at the David Ross Sports Centre located 0.9 miles across the University of Nottingham campus.
Carer and PA Tickets
A free ticket for a personal assistant or carer (PA) is available for any deaf or disabled person who has purchased a ticket to an event or performance and would be unable to attend without the help of their PA.
The PA must be able to assist the d/Deaf or disabled person to access Lakeside and its facilities, remaining with them to ensure their wellbeing and comfort. Anyone designated as a Personal Assistant must be able physically to assist the person they are with to leave the Luminarium in an emergency. The following forms of evidence make an individual automatically eligible for a free Personal Assistant ticket in addition to their ticket: Front page of DLA (Medium or Higher rate), Front page of Attendance Allowance letter (no specific rate required), Front page of PIP (no specific rate required), Evidence that registered severely sight impaired (blind), Recognised Assistance Dog ID card , CredAbility Access Card (with +1 icon). We recognise that this evidence might not include everyone that has an access requirement.
For those unable to provide us with any of the above, a free PA ticket can still be issued at the venue's discretion to those who need assistance from another person to move around safely within Lakeside's buildings.
To book these, please call our box office team on 0115 846 7777 or email lakeside-box-office@nottingham.ac.uk. More information can be found here.
Visitors with Visual Impairments and Assistance dogs
Luminarium is a highly visual installation that uses colour and light, however those with a visual impairment are welcome to explore the installation to enjoy the atmosphere and ambient soundscape. The luminarium is not an environment that is suitable for assistance dogs, so we ask that they remain outside, where we will happily look after them while you enjoy the luminarium.
If you have a visual impairment, please make yourself known to a member of staff on arrival who can provide you with some more information and guide you.
Parking
If visiting Monday to Friday, please use the free parking at the West Entrance to University Park, and allow enough time to enjoy a walk around the side of the lake to reach the luminarium. On Saturday and Sunday you may use other car parks across the campus.
