Anniversaries present exciting opportunities to revisit traditional stories and significant historic events with a critical eye. 2020 saw the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower's voyage from England to America, which included passengers from the Midlands. This talk by Dr Anna Scott will explore the Mayflower Pilgrims' history, heritage and legacy and the ways in which the story has been mythologised, revised, and commemorated.
