Piano Trio in B flat, Op. 97 ‘Archduke’
Boulanger D'un soir triste
Shostakovich Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor,Op. 67

Following their previous Lakeside performance of the Beethoven ‘Triple’ Concerto, Amatis Trio returns to perform one of his piano trios. Lili Boulanger wrote ‘D’un soir triste’ (‘Of a sad evening’) in the final weeks before her death at the age of 24. The Amatis gave an exhilarating performance of Shostakovich’s first trio on their last visit; this concert concludes with the second.
