Lakeside Arts Park to Host District 47 Art Show Friday

The art show is a part of Lakeside’s First Friday event, which is free and open to the public.

From Crystal Lake Elementary District 47: The annual Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 Student Art Show reception will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at Lakeside Arts Park, 401 Country Club Road in Crystal Lake. The District 47 reception is also Lakeside’s First Friday event, which is free and open to the public.

The community is invited to visit the Sage and Dole art galleries anytime between 5pm and 8pm to view the amazing display of student creativity, including artwork from more than 500 kindergarten through eighth grade District 47 students.

“We are fortunate to have a dedicated arts program in District 47 and a longstanding partnership with Lakeside,” said Denise Barr, coordinator of community relations. “We invite the community to help us celebrate our students’ creativity in this professional art gallery and historic community landmark.”

Student artwork will be on display through Friday, May 18th and can be viewed between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Parking is available at Lakeside or South Elementary, 601 Golf Road.

Lakeside Legacy Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, is home to the historic Dole Mansion and Lakeside Arts Park. Donations are appreciated to help support year-round art education and community programs.
