Spoken word artist, True Colours, performs poetry from his collection Outspoken as well as pieces created specifically for this event.

True Colours' aim is to take people on a lyrical journey with wordplay, and rhythmic rhymes, taking people out of their comfort zone with taboo observations, satire and ultimately to make the audience think outside of their paradigm.

As a spoken word artist, Ejiofor goes by the name True Colours as it is also the name of his clothing brand True Colours clothing.

True Colours clothing is a lifestyle brand, encouraging one and all to embrace cultural and individual differences... He says "I believe my poetry is an extension of the ethos sytc and my brands slogan sytc aka show your True Colours....be true to yourself whilst embracing difference.

Hence why the clothing is a vehicle to the message."

As a poet, True Colours talks about "many societal ills, the contradictory nature of the UK....from its very existence and the deliberate pernicious fearmongering from the media to the ignorance of us as humans being turning on each other when we should be coming together to be stronger as one."
