LATINNOW

The LatinNow Project is a European research project based in Nottingham and Oxford looking at what happened when Latin arrived in Western Europe. How did people react to this new language and how did it shape their lives? Our team of linguists and historians are unravelling the story.

HIGHLIGHTS OF CURRENT PROJECT

In Autumn 2019, LatinNow toured Europe with VOCES POPVLI, our travelling exhibition of 50 objects and a host of activity sessions for all ages. From the thousands of visitors we met at 12 stops in 6 different countries, we taught more than 2000 of them to write Roman curses in 7 different languages!
