Participants will be introduced to cutting-edge creative and digital technologies, and through a series of play-based workshops, will investigate images from the National Gallery’s Collection to help co-create our interactive installation. HOME:Zero will open at NGX – the National Gallery’s innovation space – in mid-May and at Lakeside at the end of May.
We’d like participating families to attend 3 co-design workshops and ideally 1 session to test the resultant installation.
Workshops take place at Lakeside Arts at either 10.30am or 1.30pm on:
Saturday 26 February
Sunday 13 March
Saturday 26 March
Installation User Testing
Sunday 24 April
Each workshop lasts 2 hours and refreshments will be provided. The space is fully accessible.
Workshop sessions are for family groups, i.e. children and their adult(s). They will be led by Makers of Imaginary Worlds and writer Sam Redway and attended by researchers; other project partners include Lakeside Arts, Mixed Reality Lab, Department of Architecture and Built Environment at the University of Nottingham.
Registration for this is now closed.
We’ll be in touch to confirm your places and provide further information about the project and research.
The project has been made possible thanks to funding from NESTA and National Gallery X, (the National Gallery and Kings College London)
