El Gran Teatro del Mundo specializes in music from the 17th & 18th centuries.

This six-piece ensemble – oboe, recorders, cello, theorbo, harpsichord – have received several awards including, in 2019, the Cambridge Early Music Prize at the Early Music Young Artists Competition in York.

Their concert of music by Vivaldi, Telemann, Fasch and Pla focuses on the ‘concerto da camera’ in which each instrumentalist performs a double role as soloist and accompanist. This is an opportunity to hear a dynamic ensemble on its first UK tour.
