DELIVERING THROUGH COLLABORATION

Lakeside connects artists and creatives with University of Nottingham academics and students, supports collaborative practice and shares the results with specific audiences, the public and the cultural community.

HOME: ZERO

Created By Makers Of Imaginary Worlds and commissioned by Nesta and National Gallery X (The National Gallery and King’s College London).

HOME: Zero is an art installation where visitors enter a fantastical world where time is limited. They make extraordinary things happen when they imagine a more sustainable future in this playful interactive installation where National Gallery paintings provide a magical starting point to think creatively about our own homes.

This unique project has been co-designed with Nottingham families at Lakeside Arts to encourage us all to reimagine how we can make a sustainable difference starting at home. It is suitable for families with children aged 6-10.

In 2021 we embarked upon a new partnership with artists Kerryn Wise and Ben Neal, University of Nottingham Research Fellow Sarah Martindale (Department of Cultural, Media and Visual Studies), Broadways’ Near Now (Studio for Arts, Design and Innovation) and Lakeside Arts.

Together we presented FACETS:21 – a series of events including a Symposium, workshops, VR experiences and live performances in which artists and audiences can explore creative technologies, interactions and response. You can access free videos from this project by clicking the link below.
