SCULPT YOUR OWN CLAY AND PAPIER-MÂCHÉ SCULPTURES

Do you want to make a 3D rainbow? Or would you want to shape your favourite character from a story? What about a paper dinosaur? Come on a sculpting adventure with clay and paper... and let's make pictures come alive! Artist Sian Watson will guide you, but make sure you have your parents around to help you out.

AIR DRY BAKERS CLAY

You'll need:

  • 2 cups of baking soda
  • 1 cup of cornflour
  • 1¼ cups of water
  • and help from an adult

OVEN BAKED CLAY

You'll need:

  • food colouring (optional)
  • 4 cups of flour
  • 1¼ cups of water
  • 1 cup of salt
  • and help from an adult

PAPIER-MÂCHÉ

You'll need:

  •  cup of warm water
  • ¼ cup of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of table salt
  • newspaper
  • glue
  • and help from an adult

TAPE SCULPTURE

You'll need:

  • cling film
  • scissors
  • sellotape
  • packaging tape
  • an object
  • and help from an adult
